Required double opt-in
When a double opt-in is required, stock will be reserved for six hours until they confirm their consent by clicking the link in the confirmation email. If the consumer doesn't do that in time, their order request will be rejected and the stock will be automatically replenished.
Even though most consumers will confirm their consent within a few minutes, and the vast majority within the six hour window, it's best to customise your consumer journey to create a sense of urgency to make sure this happens as quickly as possible. Why? Reserving stock for consumers for longer than necessary can lead to spending more on paid media.
Below are some suggestions on how to create that sense of urgency and provide transparency to consumers about what will happen to their order request if they don't confirm their consent.
